Marjorie Bash Foundation led initiatives to promote peace and community development in various communities in Obingwa LGA, Abia State. Since 2012, we have supported end-of-year football tournaments in Nlagu and other communities. The best teams are given prizes as well as the top performing athletes.
This was a unique project where our organization sponsored a Financial Advisor to counsel members of the union for staff members at Obingwa Local Government Education Authority. People used the opportunity to learn about retirement planning
Inclusive Entrepreneurship and Digital Literacy (IEDL) Project (Nnewi, Anambra State)People with disabilities are often excluded from the community. The IEDL project aimed to train people with disabilities on basic business planning as well as the use of digital devices. In addition to the training, participants were funded to start small-scale businesses, such as soap making and mobile phones accessories business. This project was funded by Irish Aid (Ireland Embassy in Nigeria). Other partners in the project are Joint National Association of Persons with disabilities (JONAPWD, Anambra State Chapter), Development Initiative for Technology and Empowerment and Church of Christ, Nnobi Road, Nnewi.
